Our Story
From a small spark to a growing family of learning
Than Singh Ki Pathshala began not as an organization but as a feeling — a small spark of kindness in the heart of one man, Mr. Than Singh, Head Constable in Delhi Police. It started under a tree near a police station in Delhi with just five children, a blackboard, and a belief that every child deserves the chance to learn.
With time, that small spark grew brighter. More children joined, volunteers too — and what began as a humble effort slowly turned into a strong community built on hope and learning.

Where it began
We started in 2015 with 4–5 children who were rag pickers and used to help their parents due to financial issues. These children who were once forced into labor are now receiving the education and care they deserve.
Over the years, our small initiative has grown significantly — touching the lives of 120+ children every day.

Our journey is a story of transformation — not just for the children, but for everyone involved. Volunteers, teachers and supporters have come together to create a supportive space where children can learn, grow and dream big.
Each class here is more than just teaching — it’s about rebuilding dignity and nurturing dreams.
